    Description

    Mayer China manufactured this bouillon cup in 1963. Dorothy Draper designed the furnishings for the International Hotel located at Port of New York Authority, Idlewild (now Kennedy) Airport. It was one of her last projects.
    The cup features an abstract design of airplanes (or birds) in blue and green on the side of the white cup. It measures 3 1/2 inches in diameter and stands 2 1/4 inches tall. Appears to be unused but there is a pock mark near the base on the bottom, which can be seen in the photo.
    Clearly marked on the bottom.
    Dorothy Draper designed many interiors for high end hotels, including the Drake in Chicago and the Greenbrier in WV.
