    Description

Letter from "Winifred" (probably sister ) to Pvt. Fabian C. Cox,
299 Aero Squadron, Carnegie Tech, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Almost all about the
Dedication of a Building at Walter Reed Hospital.
"We (sixteen girls from St. Catherine's)  all went out to Walter Reed Hospital yesterday morning to the dedication of the K of C Hut.....Cardinal Gibbons, 2 Monsigneurs, the celebrant, deacon, sub deacon, master of ceremonies, speaker, two priests with the Cardinal, four others, and four soldiers who served were all on the altar at once. There was an orchestra composed entirely of soldiers.....the chairs were occupied by the soldiers (wounded) and nurses from the hospital. It just made my heart ache at the sight of all those poor boys with arms and legs off. There were quite a few blind ones and victims of shell shock."
Envelope is POOR-FAIR condition with creases, tears and soiling, opened somewhat rough at left.  The letter itself is EX Condition with normal mailing folds.    I use a poor/fair/good/very good/excellent/mint grading system and grade very conservatively (see my feedback). This does NOT necessarily correspond to the generic Ebay grading system that we must use. Shipping is .95 in the U.S.
