This is an extremely rare and elusive Rolling Stones poster from 1969 that was printed in the Bay Area of California just prior to the Rolling Stones playing their infamous Altamont show in December of 1969. The Stones played five shows in California (in Los Angeles, Oakland and San Diego) in November of 1969, just prior to the Altamont show on Dec 6th. This poster was made to commemorate the Stones California dates on the tour (hence the "
CAL 11/69"). Needless to say, the subject matter of the poster is quite an amazing foreshadowing of the events that transpired. A copy of this poster is part of the touring gallery exhibit - "Exhibitionism: The Rolling Stones” that was last in Sydney, Australia and been thru London, Tokyo, Las Vegas, Chicago, Los Angeles, and a number of other cities.  You can see pics of the poster on the display at the exhibit on their website which is

This poster was printed by John McCleary Productions in 1969.  McCleary was a Bay Area based graphic designer who did a number of  prints and posters around that era.
This copy of the poster is MINT, the colors are bright, the corners and borders are sharp and there is absolutely NO creasing - it’s pristine for its age.

I grade my LPs VERY conservatively and accurately under a bright light.  A description of the grading scale is below:
M: MINT - perfect.  vinyl is pristine / cover is flawless and/or sealed
M- : just under mint.  a very, very slight amount of wear on the cover or inaudible wear on the vinyl (surface wear from age, generally) but is otherwise flawless
VG+: vinyl / cover shows signs minor signs age or wear that are more or less undistinct / inaudible.
VG: vinyl / cover shows some visible wear / age but is overall in very good shape.  pops and clicks may be ever so slightly noticeable, but don't effect play or overall listening experience.
VG-: vinyl / cover shows some relatively apparent age but is in overall good shape and still a fine copy to own / play.
G+: vinyl shows some heavy wear but overall sounds decent.  cover has some flaws or shows much age
G: vinyl is in pretty rough shape visibly but plays ok.  cover shows a lot of age or has some major splits or tears.
G-: vinyl looks / sounds pretty rough.  cover has major condition issues such as water damage, large rips, etc
*a double "+" or "-" indicates that the condition is just above or below the neighboring grade

All my records are packed tight and securely in custom LP mailers between two 12" cardboard pieces with the vinyl removed from the covers to preserve their condition during shipping.
